School started almost 3 weeks ago... my niece was born 3 weeks and a day ago, and my grandma passed away the same day. It's amazing how fast time goes!
Things have been going just fine at school... a few little bumps, but nothing major. My 8th graders are seriously my dream class. They are hardworking, eager to learn, well behaved, funny, and enthusiastic. My 10th graders are also quite lovely. My 11th graders...well... they haven't changed much from last year :-/ and my 7th graders... well, there's a LOT of them. 31 in my class. At least they are enthusiastic. Debate is starting up, so that's pretty exciting. I've had several students already asking me about debate club! :)
The weather is starting to change here... here being Miraflores. It continues to be really hot at school. But on the oceanfront, not so much. I'm actually kind of cold when I wake up in the morning! Eek!
I'm really looking forward to my trip home in May. I'm a bit bummed about the date changes, but at least I still get to go home :) Can't wait! My grandma from AZ AND my niece! I haven't seen my grandma in about 3 years :( and this will be my first time meeting my baby niece. It is going to be an amazing 5 days! :)
Paolo got me a new workout program on DVD called Insanity. I have a few friends doing it back home, and they suggested it fully. I started on Tuesday with the fit test... had to take yesterday off because I was so sore... and I did the first real workout today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be...but I also couldn't do some of the moves! My legs feel like they are gummy worms. I am planning on sticking to Insanity until I go to the States... so 7 weeks! I hope I get some awesome results so that I can surprise everyone back home! LOL No but in all seriousness, I really want to get in better shape and be healthier. I already run, so this should help my running as well.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
